How do I get started with PrivGuard?

Simply create an account, complete our brief questionnaire about your data preferences, and we'll help you identify which data brokers likely have your information. You can then start sending deletion requests with just a few clicks.

Do I need to provide my real information?

Yes, to send legitimate deletion requests, you need to provide accurate personal information. This allows companies to locate and delete your data. We use industry-standard encryption and never share your information with third parties.

How long does it take to see results?

Most companies are legally required to respond within 30 days. However, some companies respond faster, and you'll start seeing confirmations within the first few weeks of using PrivGuard.

How does PrivGuard find companies that have my data?

We maintain an extensive database of 500+ data brokers, marketing companies, and other organizations known to collect personal information. Our system also uses your questionnaire responses to identify the most relevant companies for your specific situation.

Are the deletion requests legally binding?

Yes, all our requests are crafted to comply with privacy laws like GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable regulations. Companies are legally required to respond and honor legitimate deletion requests.

Can I customize the deletion requests?

Our system automatically generates legally compliant requests tailored to each company's specific requirements. While the core legal language is standardized, the requests include your specific information and any relevant details from your questionnaire.

How do you protect my personal information?

We use bank-level encryption (AES-256) to protect your data both in transit and at rest. We never sell or share your personal information with third parties, and we only use it to send deletion requests on your behalf.

Can you see my deletion requests?

Our system automatically generates and sends requests, but our team can access request logs for support purposes. We may review requests to ensure they're being delivered successfully and to improve our service.

What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?

If you cancel, we'll retain your account information and request history for 90 days to allow you to track ongoing requests. After 90 days, all personal information is permanently deleted from our systems.

What's included in each plan?

Basic ($5.79/month): 50 broker requests per month, automated email sending, basic dashboard. Premium ($11.05/month): 100 broker requests per month, Gmail integration, email reply tracking, custom templates. Is there a free trial?

New users get 12 free broker requests to try our service. After that, you can choose from our paid plans to continue protecting your privacy.

Can I change my plan anytime?

Yes. You can upgrade your plan at any time through the billing section. Changes take effect immediately, and you'll get access to the new features and increased limits right away.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cryptocurrency payments (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and 150+ other cryptocurrencies) for maximum privacy, as well as traditional credit cards through secure payment processors like Paddle.

What are cookies and how do you use them?

Premium and Family plans include automatic follow-up requests. If a company doesn't respond within 30 days, we'll automatically send a follow-up. We also provide guidance on escalating to regulatory authorities if necessary.

Can I add custom companies to my requests?

Currently, we focus on our curated database of known data brokers and companies. However, we're working on a feature to allow custom company additions. Contact support if you have specific companies you'd like us to add.

How often is your database updated?

We update our database monthly, adding new companies and updating contact information. We also monitor for changes in companies' deletion procedures and legal requirements.
